Vang Vieng - 11th October 2009

the realisation has finally dawned that the traveling part of traveling is actually quite exhausting. This town is known primarily for it’s party style tubing (literally sitting on a tractor inner tyre and floating from bar to bar down the nam xong river) but we still couldn’t muster up the energy. If Vientiane reminded me of cork then vang vieng definitely reminded me of goleen (west cork)! First impressions showed us an incredibly laid back, relaxed and sleepy town. We should have known but there was actually more than 200 people out on the river doing all sorts of craziness!
