Vang Vieng - 19th - 25th October 2009

I really love this place. Where else can you have the best of both worlds?? Most places are either party hearty (where you sacrifice peace and tranquility) or relaxing and beautiful (without a pub for miles!) but here you can pick and choose as you see fit. Well for this whole week we chose the latter option unfortunately mostly because of Liam’s pretty bad injury. He went to the hospital after a couple of days of the cut getting more infected and they cleaned it out but it meant a course of antibiotics and not much movement for a few days. It did mean that aileen finally skyped and got in touch with people – it truly is amazing to be able to get in touch with (and SEE!!) loved ones so easily.
